 2. Analysis of the Climatic Structure of the Ranges/ Types of Ranges

The climatic adaption of the ranges in terms of their spatial differenciation was done by spatial intersection of the range data with climate-cluster-polygons. Herein global multivariate data of climate was used. ( Data Basis ) Data were derived from spatially differenced measures, which are valid for single climatic homogeneous parts of ranges. The sum of the measures represents a range specific Climate-Match-Index, which considers the procentual spatial part of differently filled parts of the range. 'Differently filled parts' may also be considered as parts in different equilibrium with climate.
